Now, down to serious writing business. A lot's happened in the last few months; I've done some commercial photo work for a real estate company, I've become a UI designer for a global software development group (site isn't live yet, I'll post it when it's up) and I'm now flying solo as the only Creative Director of WMG. Not too shabby for a kid of 17, eh? Of course, this is all unpaid stuff but it's still damn fun.
All in all, I'm feeling pretty upbeat about things, regardless of a recent reintroduction to single life (best wishes, ~R
And, quite suddenly, back to art. As many of you who have browsed my gallery will know, I have produced a variety of different types of art over the past couple of years. Now, me being me, I've decided to separate my photography from my design by creating a new account specifically for any design, resources and customisation work. I'll most likely be shifting some of my more recent design-related pieces over to the new account in the coming months but some of the older stuff will stay on this account. You can find the new me over at ~pseudo-artiste.
To finish off, some of you may remember that I generally finish my journal entries with a few recommendations of either music or apps. This morning, I'll be offering you some of the bands I've stumbled across in the past weeks and some totally kickass albums from some of the more well-know artists. Here we go!
Neil Cowley Trio - Loud. Louder. Stop.
City and Colour - Bring Me Your Love
Bloc Party - Mercury
Cajun Dance Party - The Hill, The View & The Lights
Ida Maria - Fortress Round My Heart
Guillemots - Red
Beck - Modern Guilt
Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend (Obviously. Check out their videos too. Pure ossom)
Lightspeed Champion - Falling Off The Lavender Bridge
The Kooks - KONK
That's it for this journal, I promise to update within the next two months!
